The Process

NISS will ensure that your deposit will be placed inside a PVC Satchel and sealed with a tamper evident, numbered security seal. If you require a change service, then that amount and a second security seal should also be placed inside the satchel. Both your nominated store representative and the NISS Security Officer will sign the documentation supplied, confirming that the said contents of the satchel are sealed. From this point onwards, your deposit is covered by the NISS insurance policy.

The NISS Security Officer will then transport your deposit to the closest branch of your nominated Financial Institution. The bank staff are handed the PVC Satchel and the correlating documentation. The seal on the satchel is compared with the recorded seal number written on the documentation, once verified, the seal will be broken and removed by the bank staff. If a change service was required the bank staff will place the money into the satchel and lock the security seal in place.

When the NISS security officer returns to your premises, the store representative will be handed the satchel. The security seal number should be checked against the seal number recorded on the documentation to verify it was the seal supplied.
